SSC Stenographer Syllabus 2024 : The SSC Stenographer Syllabus and Exam Pattern are released by the staff selection commission. The Staff Selection Commission conducts the SSC Stenographer Exam to recruit candidates for Group C and Group D posts in various departments of the Government of India. Candidates will be selected through a two-tier selection process. Tier I will be a Computer Based Test and Tier II will be a shorthand skill test. Candidates will have to clear both stages in order to become eligible for the document verification round. SSC Stenographer Syllabus 2024 consists of various topics from General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness and English language & Comprehension. Candidates interested in appearing in the SSC Stenographer exam must know all the topics that are included under each subject. SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern for Tier II
The Tier II Exam is for those who qualify for the Tier I CBT Exam. Tier II will be a skill test where candidates will first have to write a passage on any given topic in 10 minutes at the speed of 100 words per minute (w.p.m.) for the post of Stenographer Grade C and 80 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade D. After that candidates will transcribe the same on the computer within the allotted time. We have shared both the time and exam pattern for writing the dictation as well for transcribing the dictation.
- The language of the dictation (passage writing) will be both English and Hindi.
- Candidates will have to select the preferred language while filling out the form.
- Candidates who opt to take the Stenography Test in Hindi will be required to learn English Stenography and vice versa after their appointment.
- The Skill Test will be held at the Commission’s Regional Offices or at other Centre(s) as may be decided by the Commission.
- The Skill Test will be qualifying in nature.
