Eligibility Criteria for ICG Navik DB 2023

  • Trade :- Navik DB (Domestic Branch)
  • Age :- 18-22 years (5 Years relaxation for SC/ST, if the posts are reserved for them and 3 Years for OBC, if the posts are reserved for them)
  • Educational Qualification :- Applicants must have passed 10th class from an education board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (CBSE).

Selection Procedure for ICG Navik GD 2023

Stage- I :-

  • Physical Fitness Test
  • Document verification
  • Initial Medicals Examination

Stage- III :-

  • Document verification
  • Final Medicals at INS Chilka
  • Submission of original document, police verification and other associated forms

Indian Coast Guard Navik DB Syllabus 2023:

The written examination consists of five subjects, and the syllabus for each subject is as follows:

Science:-
  • Nature of Matter, Universe (Planets / Earth / Satellites / Sun ), Electricity and its application.
  • Force and Gravitation, Newton’s Laws Of Motion, Work, Energy and Power.
  • Heat, Temperature, Metals and Non-Metals, Carbon and its Compounds, Measurements in Science, Sound & Wave Motion, Atomic Structure.
Mathematics:-
  • Mathematical Simplification, Ratio and Proportion, Algebraic Identities, Linear Equations and Polynomials, Simultaneous Equations, Basic Trigonometry,
  • Simple Mensuration, Geometry, Measures of Central Tendency (Average, Median and Mode),
  • Interest, Profit, Loss and Percentage, Work, Time, Speed and Distance
English:-
  • Passage, Preposition, Correction of sentences, Change active to passive/ passive to active voice.
  • Change direct to indirect/ indirect to direct, Verbs/ Tense/ Non Finites, Punctuation.
  • Substituting phrasal verbs for expression, Synonyms and Antonyms, Meanings of difficult words.
  • Use of adjectives, Compound preposition.
  • Use of pronouns
General Awareness:-
  • Geography: Soil, Rivers, Mountains, Ports, Inland, Harbours
  • Culture and Religion, Freedom Movement, Important National Facts about India, Heritage, Arts and Dance

Indian Coast Guard Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

Candidates who successfully pass the written examination will be required to participate in a 2-day Physical Fitness Test (PFT). It’s important to note that physically challenged candidates are not eligible to apply for this examination.

  • 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes
  • 20 Squat ups (Uthak Baithak)
  • 10 Push-ups

Candidates are requested to carry their sports attire, shoes, etc.

Indian Coast Guard Medical Examination

Candidates who have successfully cleared both the written test and the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) will undergo a medical examination administered by authorized military doctors as part of the Indian Coast Guard selection process.

Height:-      

  • The minimum has to be 157 cm.

Chest :-

  • Well-proportioned chest with at least expansion of 5 cms.

Weight:-

  • Proportionate to and age + 10 percentage is allowed

Hearing:-

  • Normal

Visual parameter:-

  • 6/6 (Better Eye) and 6/9 (Worse Eye) (Candidates using glasses are not eligible)

Tattoo:-

  • Permanent tattoos on any body part is not allowed
