Indian Coast Guard (ICG) GD Syllabus And Exam Pattern

Indian Coast Guard is conducting a recruitment drive for the post of Navik (General Duty) 2024. The mode of application will be online only and the candidates have to choose one centre against the state to which he belongs. The selection process of the Indian Coast Guard involves sorting of online applications center-wise followed by the written test which will be objective-type multiple-choice questions. Those who qualify for the written examination will undergo the Physical Fitness Test (PFT). Eligibility Criteria for ICG Navik GD 2024
  • Trade :- Navik (GD) (General Duty Branch)
  • Age :- 18-22 years (5 Years relaxation for SC/ST, if the posts are reserved for them and 3 Years for OBC, if the posts are reserved for them)
  • Educational Qualification :- 12th Class Passed with Maths And Physics from any Education Board recognized by Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE).

ICG Navik GD Syllabus And Exam Pattern 2024

The Computer Based written test exam pattern of Indian Coast Guard Navik (General Duty) will be objective type questions. The level of the examination will be up to the 12th standard. Have a look at the different subjects which will be asked in the written test of Navik GD.

The written examination of ICG Navik consists of the subjects viz. Physics, Basic Chemistry, Mathematics, Knowledge of English up to 12th standard, General Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning, Current Affairs, etc.

Indian Coast Guard Physical Fitness Test (PFT):-

Candidates qualifying for the written examination will undergo a Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and the testing process will take about 2 days. Physically Challenged candidates are not eligible to apply for this examination.

  • 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes
  • 20 Squat ups (Uthak Baithak)
  • 10 Push-ups

Candidates are requested to carry their sports attire, shoes, etc.

Indian Coast Guard Medical Examination:-

Indian Coast Guard medical exam will be taken by authorized military doctors for the candidates who have cleared both the written test and PFT.

Height:-       

  • The minimum has to be 157 cm.

Chest :-

  • Well-proportioned chest with at least expansion of 5 cms.

Weight:-

  • Proportionate to and age + 10 percentage is allowed

Hearing:-

  • Normal

Visual parameter:-

  • 6/6 (Better Eye) and 6/9 (Worse Eye) (Candidates using glasses are not eligible)

Tattoo:-

  • Permanent tattoos on any body part is not allowed

Indian Coast Guard Document verification:-

While coming for the written examination, candidates need to produce certain documents including:

  • Pre-submitted online e-admit card, latest photo affixed (3 copies)
  • Valid government identity proof like passport, driving license, Aadhar card/ Voter I-Card, Pan Card, School/ College ID-Card, or any other photo identity proof, etc.
  • A printed copy of the application form (2 copies)
  • Latest color passport size photographs with blue background (Ten)
  • 10th pass certificate and original mark sheet.
  • Original Caste certificate, if applicable
  • 12th pass certificate and original mark sheet
  • Domicile proof
